How Banxico can affect USD/MXN

Changes in Mexican rate expectations can alter the appeal of peso-denominated assets relative to US assets. The exchange-rate reaction also depends on what markets expected, US policy, inflation and risk appetite. A rate cut does not guarantee a particular currency move.

A higher USD/MXN rate means a weaker peso against the dollar; a lower rate means a stronger peso. Follow the quote and reported market reaction together.
